Monthly Archives: June 2011
Haying season came a bit early this year. But the sun is shining so we’ve got to make hay.
We’ve been busy around here this spring. We are finally getting the planting finished up.
This spring we planted one acre of black beans, one acre soybeans and four acres of canola.
The crops we planted last fall are looking really nice as well. Last fall we put in some winter wheat, rye, and spelt.
In the above picture you can see the rye in the foreground. Going out from there is the spelt, the canola, wheat, soybeans, and finally black beans.
Later this summer we’ll put some buckwheat and clover where the winter crops are now.
